What would happen if all aborted fetuses were put up for adoption?

Question by Dolyn: What would happen if all aborted fetuses were put up for adoption?
I see so many people jump down other people’s throats about the abortion issue. Usually, the response I see the most is “you can always put it up for adoption.” Ok, lets pretend we live in a U.S. where every woman who would have had an abortion gave the baby up for adoption. Last year, in the U.S. only about 100,000 children (children total, not babies) were adopted. But, over 1 million abortions were performed. Sure, there are LOTS fo people on wait lists for a baby, but in just a few short years supply will greatly out number demand. Tell me, exactly what would the U.S do with all these unwanted children?

The families who are on the back list for children would receive their child expeditiously. They wouldn’t have to go to another country if they didn’t want to.

We can put some on a list for people from other countries. But it seems as tho you may condone abortions to keep the adoptive child list manageable. That is just plain sick. Kill children, babies that have not had a chance to live just to manage a list. Is that what you are encouraging here?

Hitler could have used you and your thoughts.

  1. A lot miserable women, unwanted children filling orphanages causing them to overflow and making the already poor standard of living worth, and a lot more babies murdered immediately after birth and thrown into dumpsters.

A lot of people who say all women should put it up for adoption seem to forget that not every single baby is healthy, white, and wanted.

  2. First of all, that would never happen. Abortions have been around since the beginning of time. Before they were legal in the US, women went to Mexico to have them, some were butchered. Many babies today are kept by the mothers who are way too young to handle the responsibilities of bring up a child. They then need WIC coupons and welfare or the grandparents become the parents. This is a big problem. Other women get abortions more then once. There is NO excuse for this kind of behavior. When I was a teen, the only birth control we had was condoms. NOW you can get free birth control pills and don’t tell me how women take them and they don’t work. You must take them properly for them to work. I don’t have a problem with women who make a mistake and decide to have an abortion the first time. It’s there choice. When it’s the 2nd or 3rd time, then it is irresponsible. It is also irresponsible to keep the child rather then give it up for adoption when you have no means of taking care of it.

  3. Sorry it took so long to respond, I just saw this now! I dont know about CMC, so I dont think that was where we went. Most of the pictures especially at the beginning at from an orphanage, Eden, that is now closed.
